Leave your car at the hotel car park and discover Montpellier by tram.
You can visit the St Pierre cathedral erected in the 14th century with its monumental porch; you can stroll in the Jardin des Plantes (botanical garden) and discover over 3 000 different species. Your walk may take you to the Ecusson district or you can admire the Place de la Comédie with its theatre and the Esplanade Charles-de-Gaulle which extends the square. The square also leads you to the Berlioz Opera at the Corum.
Then, why not take a trip to the future in the mythical Antigone district which 20 years after its construction still remains the symbol of a city which has discovered new horizons for itself.
Lastly, you can take the cycling paths to ride through the new districts or along the banks of the river Lez and perhaps continue on to Carnon, Palavas or even La Grande Motte where crickets, hot sand and azure blue combine to delight.
